This beautiful old cottage in Little Hallingbury had all the charm you could want in a home, but lacked space and modern facilities. To create a light and airy living space centred on a new kitchen, the entire roof was removed and vaulted over a modified footprint to give more room. The kitchen was then sensitively planned to incorporate modern convenience and facilities, while keeping in character with the rest of the building. The result is a practical and beautiful mix of ancient and modern.
